Townsend Family Dental Center’s dental philosophies are established on personal integrity and science. Dr. Townsend informs his patients of the best treatment needed and goes above and beyond the standard of care to the best of his ability.
This alone can make a dentist successful, but in his care a patient will receive more than that. Dentistry is a very personal service that requires the establishment of a rapport and trust. Dr. Townsend provides family dentistry with a personal touch and makes a point to be an excellent listener to his patients’ needs.

Meet Dr. Townsend
Dr. Townsend is a dedicated family dentist who is committed to providing the best care possible to his patients. He takes pride in his ability to inform patients of the best treatment options while going above and beyond the standard of care. Dr. Townsend has a personal touch and makes it a priority to be an excellent listener to his patients’ needs. He aims to serve and support Liberty County and the surrounding areas as a center for dental care and an active supporter of the medical community. Dr. Townsend is passionate about contributing to the dental care of the poor and underserved in the community, ensuring everyone has access to quality oral healthcare. With his expertise and compassionate care, Dr. Townsend is an essential part of the dental practice, providing excellent dental care and improving patient outcomes.
Meet Dr. Nishang Patel
Dr. Nishang Patel graduated from the Dental College of Georgia with a Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D). His previous education includes high school at the Bradwell Institute and undergraduate studies at Armstrong University. Dr. Patel is pleased to rejoin the Hinesville community, helping his friends and neighbors enjoy sparkling smiles and optimal oral health.
Dr. Patel’s practice philosophy is to develop long-lasting, health-centered relationships based on trust, and honest communication with patients. He wants to help patients understand the causes of their current dental condition and develop a long-term plan to increase their self-esteem and well-being by enhancing their appearance, comfort, and ability to sustain excellent dental health.
“I chose dentistry because I felt like a different person when I finished orthodontic treatment as a teenager. I had new confidence in my smile and value for what a dentist can do for people.”
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing and watching several types of sports, as well volunteering regularly at the BAPS Hindu temple in Savannah!
Meet Darin Townsend II, DMD
Dr. Darin Townsend II is a highly skilled and dedicated dentist. His journey in dentistry began with a strong educational foundation, having attended the Liberty County School system in Hinesville, GA. He graduated from Liberty County High School in 2013. Dr. Townsend II pursued his passion for dentistry by studying Biology as a Pre-Med Major at Georgia State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2017. He furthered his education at Georgia State University, earning a Master’s Degree in Microbiology in December 2018. Driven by his commitment to excellence, he then continued his studies at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, earning his Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine and graduating as a Dental Medical Doctor in May 2023.
What Dr. Townsend II appreciates most about working in the dental field is the opportunity to solve problems and help patients restore their smiles. His passion for dentistry transcends his role as a dentist and he takes pride in being able to serve patients alongside a remarkable team at Townsend Family Dental Center. From humble beginnings as a teenager cleaning windows and emptying trash at the dental center, Dr. Townsend II now plays a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Townsend II enjoys engaging in exercise and fitness activities to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He also nourishes his sense of adventure through traveling.

Brionna, Registered Dental Hygienist
Brionna, Registered Dental Hygienist
Brionna graduated from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She has her degree in AAS in Dental Hygiene and is pursuing her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is certified in the state of Tennessee to administer local anesthesia, perform laser therapy, and administer nitrous oxide. Her favorite part of the job is being able to make a difference in her patients oral health by educating them on the importance of a proper oral care routine. Outside of work, Brionna loves spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and traveling!
Canda, Registered Dental Hygienist
Canda graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University. She has a bachelor’s degree in science and an associates degree in dental hygiene. She loves working in the dental field because it gives her the opportunity to make a positive influence in other people’s lives. For her, it’s not just educating the patients, but making them feel and know that they are part of the Townsend Dental family. Canda currently resides in Reidsville, GA, where she has been married for over 15 years. She has three children; Stephen, Kaedan, and Kaylee-Ann.

Lahoma graduated from Armstrong State College. She has a special training in periodontics with a certificate of completion in non-surgical gum treatment. As a people person, working as a dental hygienist is the perfect job for Lahoma. She finds her job very rewarding as she gets to educate patients on their oral care and watch them put the things she teaches them into practice. Happily married to her husband for 27 years, she has a son, a daughter, and a grandson! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, working in the yard, and talking with people about the bible.

She enjoys serving the local community and providing each patient with superior customer service. Ingred has been married for 17 years to her husband, Michael. Together they have 2 boys and 1 girl. In her spare time, she loves gardening and spending quality time with her family.
